About

Invoke Yoga & Pilates Studio is dedicated to inspiring and contributing to the community in which we work and play. This blog is a collection of stories, inspirations, thoughts and teachings written by those that love yoga. From yoga teachers to students, from newbies to seasoned veterans, there is a place for everyone in the world of yoga. This blog is dedicated to all those that love the practice.

Indy’s appealing and accessible yoga and pilates studio, Invoke Studio features vinyasa (a flow yoga that ties movement with breath), dynamic pilates mat classes, Bar Effect™ classes, and pilates reformer sessions. Invoke Studio began its journey in the winter of 2005 and has quickly blossomed into one of Indy’s busiest and top rated yoga and pilates studios, celebrating 10 years of success in January 2015.

The Place. Light, airy, and amazingly friendly, Invoke Studio features the largest studio space in the state of Indiana (nearly 4,000 square feet). With three practice rooms, massage, showering facilities and modern equipment, Invoke appeals to men and women, novices and experienced students alike. Located in the old Buschman Building (a circa 1871 building featured in Indianapolis Then & Now) in the “hip & historic” St. Joseph district, Invoke Studio showcases 15-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and loft-like exposed ductwork.

The Practice. Yoga. Invoke teaches “vinyasa” yoga, a style of yoga that ties movement with breath, a style of yoga that can burn up to 500 calories per session. Vinyasa offers a centering, mind/body alternative to traditional workouts.
Pilates. Invoke’s challenging pilates mat classes and private reformer sessions focus on one’s core muscles to reshape the entire body.
